The back of the phone easily slides off when opening the phone (sliding up). I took the phone back to the AT&T store; they tried another back, and it came off, too. They told me to call the Warranty ph #; those folks told me I must have damaged the phone, which voided the warranty. I was told this by two people.
I like the feel of the phone – it’s heavy-weight. The buttons are easy to use without selecting the wrong button. The menus are easy and intuitive. The video is so-so.
I also bought an 8G micro SD card, but the phone would not read it. Again, AT&T told me that this is because the phone will only read up to 4G. Not true, according to the manual!
Maybe my problem is with AT&T and not the phone! Anyhow, there’s really nothing flashy about the phone. I do use it to access info on the web, and I use the camera quite a bit. The pictures are pretty good for a cell phone camera.

Note: primary use for this phone: business and personal calls, camera, Bluetooth, minor texting (under 200 /mo.)
Purchased this phone from AT&T about a month ago after my LG VU ceased operations in a bizarre manner (no more touch screen phones for me!). AT&T warranty claims I must have dropped it (no markings on the outer shell at all) and insurance would only replace it with the same model. Customer service, however, allowed me to take an early upgrade and gave me the contract price for a new phone!
Originally I was looking to the Razor2 (primarily because of battery life) but the local outlet was out of stock so, upon advice that the Z9 was essentially the same phone in a different form factor, out I walked with the Z9 planning to call in a few days to see if they had stock of the Razor2 and take advantage of the “Buyers Remorse” clause.
I have grown to truly appreciate this phone; great battery life, nice form factor, easy to use and, for most of my calls, never have to open the slider.
Oddly, this phone gets better signal reception than either my former Razor V3XX or the LG VU. Magic Sniper Elves, I suspect ..

Upgraded to this after wearing out 3rd Razr, it appears to be more durable, somewhat heavier with a fine camera & Internet access – but battery definitely won’t last a full day & night. Perhaps spoiled by Razr, which lasted sometimes 3 days, this is not good. And, AT&T failed to provide relief, delaying my problems until it was past the 30-day trial period, then refusing to exchange it for another Razr. Living with it, but will definitely be dumping AT&T when subscription ends.
