Motorola RAZR V3 Prepaid GoPhone, Black with $50 Airtime Credit

Ordered the phone from Amazon and received it within a reasonable time frame. Phone works well, but could not receive the stated $50 worth air time credit after activation of the phone. Contacted Amazon several times, call always got terminated once discussion on this started (not really terminated, just been placed in idle – no more response from the other end after providing information needed). Be aware of the case if you consider buying the phone with receiving such credit, just like I did.

I have used the MOTO RAZR V3i model before [not with ATT] though and I never used data or browse with it. It is a very good phone with bluetooth, camera and music. It lasted for more than 2 years and I would call it a sweet deal for $100 and also with $50 airtime credit.
If you think 2 years is a good enough lifespan for a mobile, this model will probably stand good. I maintained the phone very well, but this is a flip model and all flip models face a problem on the long run – the hinge gets broken or loose and you have to change the entire numpad, in V3.
I have an ipod touch, which I carry always and it kind of was dumb to carry two music players. Probably I should go for the iphone.
If you are wise enough, you can get one when there is a bonus time. I got $50 additional credit when I bought this phone.
If you never use data, or shy to put forward a lot of money, go for the basic model. Many of my friends got the basic model phone (nokia) for free, when you purchase airtime credit [gophone prepaid] for $100.
However, if you are going for a business plan, you may want to try the blackberry or palm pre, which is available at the same price at amazon [http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002JIO4JY?ie=UTF8&tag=theipoandiphf-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B002JIO4JY - Palm Pre]
